More than 140 teams from all over the world participated in the 2024 Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot. This year’s competition is the biggest ever organised in Hong Kong SAR. The students demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of the law and the facts of the case. Students’ passion, enthusiasm, and hard work made it difficult to judge the best team. 

Dr Sejko participated in the 9th edition of the conference “Antitrust in Asia: One Size Fits All?” organised by Concurrences, with the support of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Competition Association, in partnership with Baker McKenzie, Clifford Chance, Dentons, Meta, and RBB Economics. The conference took place at the Chinese University of Hong Kong on 26 October 2023. Dr Sejko discussed, together with Prof Sandra Marco Colino (The Chinese University of Hong Kong) and Yong Bai (Clifford Chance), the increased use of regulatory instruments that protect a level and competitive market and national security. The speakers assessed the impact of the European Union investment screening mechanim and foreign subsidy regulation, and the potential impact on the flows of foreign direct investment.
